New snowmakers to preserve ski-back access to the heart of Saint-Martin-de-Belleville

As winter approaches, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is preparing for its new ski season. This year, new low-pressure snowmakers are reinforcing the snow cover on the run that leads directly into the heart of the village.

SEVABEL has managed this project from design through to completion. It is also providing the funding. The Régie des pistes then takes over to operate the installations.

A project led and delivered by Sevabel

To strengthen the snow cover in this strategic sector, Sevabel has designed and funded the installation of new low-pressure snowmakers. This equipment complements existing systems, helping to better preserve the snow cover on the piste.

The snowmakers also offer a technical advantage. They can operate from -2°C, whenever weather conditions allow for snow production.

For its part, the Régie des pistes handles the operation of the equipment. Its teams ensure they run smoothly throughout the season.

Preserving ski-back access to the village

This run plays an important role in the skiing experience at Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. It allows skiers to reach the village directly from the ski area, returning to the narrow streets and charm of the historic centre with their skis on.

Following the improvements made to the village ski lift run, these new snowmakers strengthen the resources available to preserve this access.

The goal is clear: to keep the central run snow-covered until the end of winter. Naturally, this will depend on weather and operational conditions.
