Improvements in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville

New developments on the village ski lift run!

The off-season is in full swing in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, and a series of improvement works are underway to best prepare for the upcoming winter season. Among the notable updates during this preparation period, significant projects are being carried out to optimise the ski area and skier comfort.

Piste levelling for better snow retention

Currently, piste levelling operations are in progress on the village ski lift route. This meticulous earthwork aims to correct terrain irregularities and ensure better distribution and retention of both natural and man-made snow. This targeted intervention on this key artery, which provides direct access to the historic centre, will optimise snow cover, thereby reducing the need for artificial snow while guaranteeing a smoother and safer ski experience for all levels.

Installation of a low-pressure snow cannon

In addition to this levelling, a low-pressure snow cannon is being installed on the same run. This technical choice offers numerous advantages: it allows for the production of optimal quality snow even when temperatures are near zero, while consuming less energy.

This equipment modernisation guarantees an efficient and safe return for skiers right to the foot of the village, across a wider part of the season, from the official opening until the final days of the spring closing.
